Today we took Erik out for his first paddle in the canoe, at Buntzen Lake Reservoir near our home in Port Moody BC.  I think he enjoyed it, but as the first time ever in a boat this close to the water he was typically quiet at first.  After awhile he relaxed a bit and joined me in the cockpit, wanting to reach over the edge to splash around.  I’m sure before long he’ll be helping me paddle.
