The Gym

Sometimes I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels in the gym. No, I’m not wasting away the hours on the stationary bike. I’m, as they say, pumping iron.

My strength is up, for sure, and working put feels great, but … something … what is it. Maybe I need to do a different kind of workout. I heard that P90 thing is pretty good.

I don’t know what I need to do. Maybe one day some indoor rock climbing, the next swimming, the next a mad full-body mix at the gym, the next canoeing, the next something else.

New layout

For the last year or so this site was hosted at wordpress.com (as superjens.wordpress.com) but I recently moved all our business sites away from GoDaddy over to NameCheap. Since our new hosting account there absolutely rocks and is a million times easier and faster than the junk over at GD, I moved this one there, too.

So.

Hi.

How you doin’?

End of the Beginning

Around two years ago I said “enough”, and hit the gym for the first time in years.

I say this is the end of the beginning, because I’m not done yet, not even close, but from here on in there’s no turning back. I’m easily beyond the “well I’ll diet for a bit and lose a little” stage. I’m nearly obsessed with health and fitness now. I very rarely cheat with food, and when I do it’s very little cheating. When I skip a day at the gym, it’s legitimate (too much work that I can’t escape, or I really need another day to recoup since I pushed it too hard the day before).

Fatty no more. Yes, I still have some fat to lose and muscle to gain, but this progress and dedication will stay with me now.

Without further ado, the before and after pic:
